三、Limerick 核電站綜述

1、冷卻方式：Limerick核電站是美國賓夕法尼亞州蒙哥馬利（Montgomery）縣Limerick鎮(zhèn)附近的Schuylkill 河畔，采用自然通風冷卻塔進行閉式循環(huán)冷卻，廠址配備了8臺應急柴油機。如果天氣條件好，冷卻塔蒸發(fā)出的水汽很遠都可見。Schuylkill 河年均流量132m³/秒，最大流量1141m³/秒，最小流量28m³/秒。（這條河流的最小流量似乎比國內(nèi)選址的最小流量還低，值得關注）

2、運行績效：Limerick核電站運行績效良好，2000年以后#1、2機組基本維持在90%以上。

3、人口情況：Limerick核電站周邊設置了低密度人口限制區(qū)（LPZ，備注類似于中國的規(guī)劃限制區(qū)，半徑為10英里/約16公里，2010年，LPZ內(nèi)人口252,197人，10年內(nèi)人口增長率為18.70%，屬于人口非常多的廠址），廠址50英里以內(nèi)的人口達到8,027,924，50英里內(nèi)的人口中心為費城（城市中心距廠址28英里，2010年人口1,526,006，《獨立宣言》簽署地，旅游勝地，GMP達到3470億美元，全美第7大經(jīng)濟城市）。

4、運營經(jīng)濟性：據(jù)（http://www.phoenixvillenews.com/article/PV/20130722/NEWS01/130729995）文稱受到低成本替代能源的影響，新建核電站、核電站擴容、延壽的經(jīng)濟性正遇到空前挑戰(zhàn)。去年，Exelon暫時取消了Limerick的擴容改造計劃（原本計劃增容1.6%）

Limerick Generating Station provides enough around-the-clock, emissions-free,reliable energy to power over two million homes. On average, the plant supplies about10 percent of Pennsylvania’s total electricity needs. A recent report by Continental Economics, Inc. analyzed the economic, system reliability and environmental benefits of Limerick Generating Station, based on 2010 data. The report found the following benefits, making Limerick a valuable resource to the surrounding community:
